Quicken for the iPhone could be money watcher’s dream

By Danny Mendez

Quicken for the iPhone could be money watcher's dreamIf you like to keep a strict eye on your finances, you don’t have an accountant’s crazy skills, and you also happen to own an iPhone, I got a great product for you: Quicken for the iPhone.

It comes in the form of Quicken Online, which is also accessible via desktop and laptop computers. Through your iPhone, you can get to your Quicken Online account, giving yourself a simplified version of the desktop Quicken software everywhere you go for $3 per month.

TouchTip makes a big deal out of using your iPhone as a register for all types of expenses, allowing you to log each expense as it happens. Quicken Online also connects to your bank/credit card accounts in order to give you an overall picture of your “cash flow”. The service will also send you reminders of when your bills are due.

While we may not be financial experts here at Blorge, this seems like an easy and convenient way of tracking your finances, and, at $3 per month, it’s not expensive. The service comes off as a bit of overkill for your typical 25 year old bachelor, but married couples, business people, and parents are more likely to find Quicken Online useful.
