iPhone / iPod Touch Playstation emulator publicly released

By Danny Mendez

iPhone / iPod Touch Playstation emulator publicly releasedIf you’re like us, you install the craziest, most advanced apps on your iPhone or iPod Touch and then never use them. If that’s the case, why would we care if a Playstation emulator just got publicly released on Installer.app? We’re not going to use it much, but we’ll install it because we can.

Up until yesterday, the Playstation emulator was available only to those in the Beta Tester Club, users who donated money to the project. Well, Zodttd just finished v0.1.0 of the psx4iphone app, and instead of just keeping it within the club, he released it to the public within Installer.app. If you’re a part of the Beta Tester Club, fear not. You’ll continually get access to the latest build before it goes public.

If you choose to install psx4iphone, keep in mind that legally you must own any roms you install on your iPhone or iPod Touch. With that said, any questions you have about installing the program could probably be answered at this forum. You’ll also find the manual installation files there if you don’t want to do it via installer. Finally, check out the video below of Final Fantasy Tactics running on psx4iphone.
