iPod Touch: VOIP hack with video proof

By Danny Mendez

iPod Touch: VOIP hack with video proofThe iPod Touch is truly a dynamic, portable mini-computer. Adding to the list of its amazing abilitites, Apple’s latest and greatest can now do VOIP calling.

The hack requires users to install the TouchMods repository in Installer.app. The full VOIP app for the iPod Touch will show up in Installer on New Year’s Eve at Midnight, but you’ll need a microphone to make any calls. You can rig one up yourself or you can reserve one mic from the first batch of 500 mics to be built for the iPod Touch. Enjoy the video below, and another video is available at the TouchMods wordpress blog.
