Canadian carrier Rogers Communications announced that it has finally established a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada, and in very related news, the company’s CEO is a man of very few words.

Lawyers working for Apple have spent the last few months trying, and universally succeeding, to destroy any companies who have been selling iPhone clones. However, the Managing Director of one such company was shocked at their ruthlessness.

One feature which most iPhone owners would like to see on their gadgets is instant messaging. However, through multiple updates, the feature has remained elusive. However, that could be about to change, with the revelation that Apple has filed for a universal instant messaging patent.

It was only last year that Greg Winn, a top executive with Australian telecommunications company Telstra, was blasting the iPhone, and telling Apple to stick to its knitting. Now, if the latest rumors are to be believed, Telstra will be distributing the iPhone in Australia, and may be launching it in late June. Though there is some evidence that Telstra won’t have the iPhone to itself.

Evidence of Apple’s 3G iPhone was recently discovered in the latest beta of the iPhone 2.0 firmware. While many may get excited over the mention of Apple’s new device, this may be a clue for something much bigger and it may involve Microsoft more than you think.

Snapture is a program designed to replace the iPhone’s camera application, which has been criticized for being too simple. When it comes to Apple, simplicity is both a blessing and a curse, and it seems Apple assumes we all love simplicity in our gadgets.
