(except without the "abc" or "def" written next to the hiragana on each phone key) but also there is romaji keyboard so you have the choice to input like you are using computer, or you are using cellphone. I wish there is handwriting recognition for japanese! Im using chinese handwriting, but i realised because i have to change keyboards after i write the kanji, to put in a hiragana next to it, the time of changing is longer than just writing without using handwriting. Also there is many unreadable kanji suggested by the handwriting program, so i think it confuse a lot of people. With the kana input for iphone its just like japanese phone.
