Ever wonder how a 3D, high resolution, first person shooter would work on the iPhone? Well we will soon find out. iPhone users are buzzing with the latest juicy tidbit that has been floating around the cyber highway, BioShock is coming to the iPhone.
IG Fun has confirmed its plans for releasing a version for the iPhone. IG snagged the mobile rights earlier this year at the time it was thought to be only a BREW and Java game.
BioShock is a 3D, high resolution, memory hog. I play it on my Xbox 360, love the game. The iPhone has a lo of power so it should be more than capable to handle this game. A 2D version will be released to accommodate the mobile devices that cannot handle the 3D graphic. A 2D version will be released. I imagine we’ll be seeing this on many of the mobile devices that aren’t an iPhone.
BioShock is a first person shooter game that was released in 2007 for the PC and the Xbox 360 and now apparently the PS3. The game is set in 1960 in Rapture. Rapture is an underwater city that you have to explore you learn about Raptures history during gameplay. Rapture was secretly built in 1946 it was powered by submarine volcanoes, and it was completely self-sufficient.
Bioshock coming to mobile devices is fantastic news. I’m hoping a gaming company decides to port it to the Mac computers. I would love to play it on my 17″ MacBook Pro.
