Mobile-Me-logo.jpgThe rumors about MobileMe were true it will be coming to the iPhone 3G, information about this application had been rapidly spreading over the internet especially when some people reported seeing files for it on their iPhones. MobileMe will definitely change how the user interacts with their iPhone 3G. MobileMe offers a bunch of new features including web 2.0 capabilities.

  1. Always in sync
  2. If you have multiple devices such a Mac at home, Windows PC at work, along with an iPhone, or iPod touch making sure the information stays synchronized ca be challenging. MobileMe allows uses to keep their information synchronized.

  3. Works with native applications
  4. MobileMe works with many of the products that you used daily. Whether you use Microsoft Outlook on your Windows PC MobileMe works well with it. The same applies to your applications on a Mac; Mail, Address Book, and iCal. MobileMe works well with it. If you use Mail, Contacts, and Calendar on your iPhone or iPod touch, no problem MobileMe has you covered.

  5. Access your desktop from anywhere
  6. MobileMe allows you to access and manage your information from anywhere you have an internet connection. That’s right you are able to manage your mail, contacts, calendar, photos, and files at me.com. The application is loaded with features, and it’s easy to use.

MobileMe also will include Push email. I’ve heard this discussed over the past few months, and I’m happy that it’s a feature of MobileMe. Push email stores all your information on a secure online server, think of the cloud from the MobileMe logo, it pushes these applications down to your iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, and Windows PC.

When changes are made to one application, the cloud updates the others. I really like that feature. You don’t have to worry about doing this manually since the updates are automatic, the instant updates are made and it will keep doing it continuously.

I really like the fact that MobileMe is offering the “best of both worlds” if you need to use Windows applications you still can take advantage of this fabulous software. Whether you are using Outlook, Windows XP, or Vista MobileMe works seamlessly with these applications.

Even if you have more than one PC that won’t be an issue MobileMe will keep your email, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks current just as it does on a Mac. MobileMe will still keep all your Mac and Windows PC current along with your iPhone, and iPod touch.

MobileMe isn’t available for sale; however, you can be notified when it is available by signing up at Apple. When MobileMe is released, Apple will be offering a 60 day free trial.
