Boring iPhone 3G guided tour features App Store in action
By Danny Mendez
A lot has been said about the new iPhone App Store, but few have seen the thing in action up until now. Though, that’s about to change. Curious? I know you are.
Apple just released a really, really boring video demonstration of the iPhone 3G in action, and we really, really don’t recommend you watch the whole thing if you possess a general understanding of how to use an iPhone. The 30 minute presentation recaps much of what we already know about the mobile version of OS X and the iPhone’s functionality and features, but it also provides a peak of the App store in action.
If you can forgive the use of the boring, stale, and slow voice actor, skip the first 4/5 or 5/6 of the video to get to the Applications section.
You’ll get to check out the tilt sensor employed an official game…

…and preview a studying application…

…finally, you’ll get to see an app purchased!

Keeping true to its values, Apple’s deployment of the App Store comes off as efficient and easy to use. Once an app is purchased, it’ll show up on the iPhone’s homescreen with a loading bar to display the download progress. Once it’s done downloading and installing, the app should be ready.

Hi all. Well, with all this appstore stuff going on, i will be hosting itunes 7.6 for anyone who needs it. You will need it to downgrade your ipod back to any version besides 2.0. The URL is: http://zifnet.us/iTunes. Just trying to get this out there. If you want to scan for spyware/viruses, there is nothing to be found. The file should be up later today. Thanks!
