Yes my white iphone 3g has these fine pin cracks in the shape of the back encasing as well. I'm sure apple will say it is not covered under warranty as they do with most of their 'problem's. I have had horrible support from these guys since day one and I had the 2g model as well. Apple's phones are fun but they are support nazis! I dropped mine on my SHOE (rubber) and it hit the corner of the phone, which led to the screen cracking in from the left corner. They told me I'd have to pay $200 to replace the screen. And now the case has pin hair cracks all over it. I have had this phone in an Incipio rubber housing since day 1. Totally physically defective. I would definitely go with the black model if you are planning to buy.

The iPhone 3G are selling 2x as fast as the original and lines are constantly forming outside of Apple stores and other carriers.
It's a great time to personalize your iPhone by choosing any accessories that suit your personality and lifestyle. Apple Stores and most other consumer electronics specialty shops carry these cases. Do a careful search at an online auction site, such as eBay, and you may find them there.
Um... recommend these <a href="http://www.sourcingmap.com/iphone-accessories-c-983_1795.html" rel="nofollow"> iPhone 3G Accessories</a> store, maybe you will also like it

I see that you mentioned the invisibleShield but buying that will it prevent the iPhone from cracking at all? I see that there products will help the iPhone from scratching, but what about cracking? The cracking part is my biggest concern.
Thanks.
