iPod MindMaker may solve problems

By Gareth Powell

MindMaker solving your business problemsMindMeister has announced it will make MindMaker available for the Apple iPhone. The new application allows graphical views and is a technique for brainstorming, planning, note taking and structuring thoughts. (Note it is for business where life is real, life is earnest.)

The company recently acquired MindMaker in an effort to further develop the iPhone application. The application will support graphical views but is, as stated, used as a technique for brainstorming, planning, note taking and structuring thoughts.

This is an American concept but it is starting to be made much use of in European business schools.

Melchior Brislinger, developer of MindMaker, said in a statement, ‘MindMaker started out as a pet project but quickly became one of the leading iPhone apps for mind mapping,’

Mindmapping is not universally approved as a way of structuring business projects but it has a strong following.

According to News Oxy MindMaker will be integrated into the MindMeister contribution by providing easy access to a user’s online mind maps through the Apple iPhone. The mobile strategy will allow simultaneous editing of graphical mind maps using just a standard Web browser.
