New Yorker Animated Cartoons app, podcast

By Ronald O Carlson

Humor is the best medicine and variety is the spice of life, and just the stuff you will find in these two great pics that are really the same thing. Put a smile on your face, drolly please, and prepare yourself for animated iterations of the New Yorker’s famously wry cartoons

First up is the New Yorker Animated Cartoons app, which is free and provides a simply elegant way to get the publication’s famously funny ‘toons your iPhone or iPod touch. These are quick animations, with most having play times of 20 seconds or less, and as they’re streamed you can play any or all on demand without clotting up your device’s precious storage.

Alternately, if storage isn’t an issue or network coverage among your haunts – for the lack of a better word – “sucks,” then get the same content via New Yorker Animated cartoons podcast. Again, this is also free content and offers load n’ go convenience of connecting to the network when you’re able.

Whether you choose either or choose both, the really neat thing about these animated New Yorker cartoons is that they’re just right for a moment, a tasty little morsels that can be savored in the sparest of moments.
