Apple releases iPhone SDK, firmware 3.1 beta
Whether the mothership is reckoned to be plodding right along or racing ahead is a matter of perspective and interpretation. However you look at it though, the Cupertino’s coders never rest on their laurels and that’s definitely a good thing™.
TUAW reports that Apple has released iPhone SDK, firmware 3.1 beta. These are available only to paying members of the company’s iPhone developer program, all details of which are sealed under NDA.
Until its general release somewhere on down the line, developers may not release apps coded using the version 3.1 SDK or firmware — Shh! It’s a secret.
Shh…
Of course, with the release of iPhone OS 3.0 coming on June 19, as well as a growing list of none issues including iPhone 3GS overheating, this iteration of the software will address bugs, feature build out and likely will bring new functionality to the table (ie this isn’t v3.0.1).
So, aside from an array of expected security and bug fixes, what new humiliation for AT&T features will iPhone OS 3.1 bring? Moreover, will Cupertino’s coder manage to include anything to entice reticent iPod touch owners, which have avoided the new OS in droves?
All interesting questions thus far without answers…
