Verizon gearing up to sell n’ service the Palm Pre, iPhone
Hope springs eternal in the heart of the would-be iPhone owner. Fresh rumors indicate that not only is America’s biggest, most-reliable wireless network provider working to bring Palm’s flagship smartphone to their customers, but also the iPhone, though Apple’s hot-selling handset won’t arrive, if at all, until later next year.
According to a PCWorld write up, the Palm Pre Plus is set to arrive on Verizon’s network sometime shortly after CES 2010, which probably means late January or February. However, if you’re wondering what the “plus” means, join the crowd because that little detail still remains unresolved.
Further, BusinessWeek claims that Verizon is upgrading its network to accommodate the iPhone, a CDMA + WCDMA worldmode version is expected in 2010 perhaps around mid-year. The twist is that no deal has yet been struck to bring Apple’s game-chaning handset to America’s number one wireless provider.
Multi-carrier at last?
This news should bring a little warmth to the hearts of US iPhone owners, who’ve long suffered from AT&T’s spotty 3G coverage and poor service record.
There have been so many rumors, none of which has yet come true, that the iPhone will break free of Ma Bell’s incompetent clutches. Is it really gonna happen this time?

I love my iPhone, have no problem making calls and I really don’t get why people hate AT&T so much, I have no problems with it
