Canadian carrier says iPhone HD in June
News of the empire from Saskatchewan! A Canadian telco spills the beans on Apple’s plans to introduce the fourth generation iPhone, a.k.a. iPhone HD, at this year’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) and then ship it sometime thereafter — we’ve seen this movie.
Leader-Post, reporting from lovely Regina, Saskatchewan, that regional wireless carrier SaskTel’s 3G network will begin operation on July 1 and be finished by year’s end. But, the glad tundra tidings don’t end there.
“The good news is that (Apple) is coming out with a new version of the iPhone in the June time-frame and they’re going to put us on that,” Robert Watson, president and CEO, SaskTel. “So we’re quite excited about that.”
So, Apple’s next-generation iPhone will ship on or after July 1, but probably not before.
It’s one bad mutha… [shut your mouth]
Thereupon, it’s widely believed that Apple’s fourth generation iPhone, which some are dubbing the iPhone HD, will be introduced at this year’s WWDC and that’s likely to kick off either June 22 or June 28. (i.e. the mothership has yet to announce a date).
Anticipated features include Apple’s highly regarded A4 processor, a 960 x 640 display, a front-facing camera, espresso maker and, of course, iPhone OS 4.0.
Well, it will have all of that, Jobs willing and the damn don’t break, except for the espresso maker (I just made that up).
