But is the “iconic device” the Motorola Droid Pro — i.e. just another Android phone — or is Verizon really gonna try to own Christmas with iPhone 4 vaporware (i.e. won’t ship until next year)?

Facebook’s big event? An updated iPhone app

You can quibble over the actual words he used, but in a nutshell Mr. Sugar Mountain rolled out a tweaked Facebook app for the iPhone. No, there still isn’t a dedicated iPad app (i.e. it still looks like pixelated crap in 2X mode) and there aren’t any show stopping features.

The Apple App Store has given the go-ahead for the new Skyfire browser to run on the iPhone, and Skyfire comes very close indeed to bringing Flash back to Apple mobile devices.

The sales of Android-powered smart phones continue to lead those of the iPhone, but it appears that Apple is not losing much in the way of sales. Instead, it is the RIM Blackberry that’s going downhill.
