This is something that we all suspected perhaps intuitively knew — the results have been that spectacular. Research in Motion has gone from the dominant market force to an after thought in about three years and the carnage isn’t over yet.

The iPhone is already the best-selling single smartphone handset on the planet, but things are about to get even bigger. It seems likely that Apple will build and ship as many as 21 million iPhones in 2011 Q1.

Now, it appears our wait is almost over as the industry-leading voice and video over IP calling service prepares to take the stage at CES 2011 and formally let the cat out of the bag.

Apple’s sales partner in China, the wireless provider China Unicom, is about to offer an iPhone first in that communist country. They will be offering the 8 GB Apple mobile phone without a service contract.

Though the cars are definitely much improved, the technology inside these rides has many excited about buying again.
