How do you use your iPhone, iPod touch and/or iPad? One of coolest, and unheralded, uses I’ve found is putting manuals on my iDevices, which saves on printing, keeps ‘em handy and backed up. Here’s how to take a PDF manual or whatever and save to iBooks.

Verizon is generally not so fast and AT&T is renowned for spotty, sometimes unreliable service. Thereupon, rumors that the number three carrier here in the U.S. will be getting the iPhone come Fall have lots of people talking. That is, pretty much everyone except the folks working in Sprint’s retail outlets.

Far and away the biggest seller of smartphones running Android is going to buy its own operating system? Now, that would be a very, very disruptive move and perhaps bold beyond their means. No matter which way you choose to slice it, the idea has merit.

Triangulation. Whereas there’s no direct method to figure out what Apple’s up to, we do get a regular stream of hints and here’s one of the more convincing ones. Further, Given that past is often prologue for the Cupertino, California-based iPhone maker, it seems reasonable to expect that the 3GS will be replaced by the 4S.

We’ve seen this movie before, but the back story is very, very different this time around. Back then AT&T was the one and only iPhone carrier in the U.S. Now, Verizon’s got it and Ma Bell would pay Apple to get the iPhone on Sprint, anything to get federal regulators to approve their acquisition of T-Mobile.

Long Term Evolution, a vague strings of words that are exciting a lot of interest from iPhone fans. Although it’s quite obvious that Apple is testing the 4G wireless tech that powers Verizon and AT&T next generation networks, it’s much less clear when the rest of us will get our hands on it.

The consensus says Apple’s smartphone next — iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone nano — won’t come to market with a Long Term Evolution (LTE) chip inside.
