A few days ago, I wrote about iPhonebrowser which enables Windows users to retrieve music from their iPod Touch or iPhone since neither have a "disk use" mode like other iPods. However, if you are using Windows Vista 64-bit, you are out of luck with this software.

The iPod Touch and iPhone are not like other iPods; possessing no "disk use" mode. With other iPods it is possible to use that mode to access the flash memory or hard drive directly and pull music off the iPod, this is not possible with the iPod Touch or iPhone. But, there is a free and easy method of getting music from your iPod Touch or iPhone to you PC.

Up until the iPhone 2.0 (aka 3G iPhone) is released then mockups and rumored redesigns will continue to appear until it is actually released; supposedly in June.

A new exploit circulating around for the iPhone/iPod Touch requires no user interaction to execute. Websites with specifically written code are able to lock up your iPhone or iPod Touch and can crash your PC or Mac running Safari.

The iPhone and iPod Touch are for all intents and purposes handheld computers with mobile processors, memory and storage space, just like a real computer would have. And, just like a real computer, it should be shut down every once in a while for best performance.

When the iPhone was initially released many reactions were that it was great but was not for business users. In what can only be described as a stunning reversal, Gartner research now says the iPhone will be great for business users once the 2.0 firmware is released.

You may ask, what could be better than the iPhone? Perhaps a flip version of the iPhone and an Apple patent indicates it may be doing just that.

With all the iPods that Apple manufacturers, some of them are bound to not work according to design, that’s why there’s a warranty and most Apple stores will replace a malfunctioning iPod on the spot. Things are a little more serious when the most popular digital audio player on the planet start spontaneously combusting.

The iPhone SDK has been released and downloaded 100,000 times, response from developers was tremendous. That response has now turned from jubilation to anger; Apple has rejected most of the applications it received for the iPhone Developer’s Program.

Google’s Android for mobile computing platforms hasn’t been released in any official capacity but that hasn’t stopped the company from making predictions about its new platform. Google says that once Android hits phones from Motorola, Samsung and others, it won’t be long before Android overtakes the iPhone in popularity.
