In what could be seen as at least a minor surprise, it was announced earlier this week that some Radio Shack stores will soon begin selling the iPhone, both the 3G and 3GS models.

Although the reception to the iPhone going on sale in China was warm, the event does not seem to have engendered the sort of sellout reception that a new model iPhone introduction does in most markets.
