Apple prods developers to charge for iPhone, iPhone 2 apps
Friday, June 6th, 2008
With the World Wide Developers Conference 2008 just a few days away, the iPhone buzz has reached a deafening roar. Though the iPhone 2 is expected to bell of the ball, Steve Jobs should be unveiling the long-awaited iPhone Apps store. In an interesting move, those apps might not be free, as Apple is encouraging developers to charge for their products.

There are two types of iPhone users — the ones that couldn’t wait for 3rd party application functionality and jailbrake their iPhones, and those that have waited like good little Apple-ites for Steve Jobs to open the iPhone Apps store that has been in the works for quite a while now. Word has it that on Monday at the World Wide Developer’s Conference, Steve Jobs will open the iPhone Apps store to the public after the long wait.
For all those who have little would-be iPhone pirates lying dormant deep within themselves, you’re finally getting your opportunity to illegally share files directly from your iPhone. Fans of jailbraking their iPhones can now use iSlsk to share files wherever and whenever they please.
