Apple’s latest firmware update, 2.0.1, seems to have caused more problems than it was worth. Users are reporting that even though dropped calls and slow data access seem to have been curbed for the time being, other problems are now arising that are worse than the ones the update was suppose to fix in the first place.

The banking giant is going over the idea of possibly dropping its Blackberrys to switch over to iPhones for its employees. If they make the move, it could result in a order larger than 200,000 units for Apple, the largest single order to date.

Global IP Solutions, which is a major player in the world of IP communication services, has launched an SDK aimed at providing developers the tools to create innovative VoIP applications for the iPhone. As you may have guessed, the new-found VoIP services can only be used over a Wi-Fi connection and not via AT&T’s 3G network as some may have hoped.

Anyone with even a passing interest in Apple products couldn’t have failed to have heard something about the ‘I Am Rich’ application that caused such a wealth of copy to be written over the past week. But was the glorified screensaver costing $999.99 an inspired piece of marketing or just moronic?

What started as a small, seemingly unsubstantiated rumour in a British tabloid has now grown to be an almost universally accepted fact - an iPhone Nano is on the way. Unfortunately, there has been no confirmation from Apple, and the name, release date, and features are unknown.

The Apple iPhone 3G went on sale on July 11th and immediately sold out in most of the 22 countries it was initially made available in. Just 3 days later, Apple announced that it had sold 1 million iPhones worldwide, but what was the fate of those first 1 million?

Several reports were filed across the blogosphere today about the occurrence of small hairline-type cracks becoming noticeable on iPhones. At first, it was thought white versions were the only ones being effected, but later reports confirmed that its black brethren suffers from the same flaw as well.

AdMob, a leading mobile advertising provider, is looking for developers that can utilize the unique user-aspects of the iPhone to create a new way of advertising on mobile devices.

With an average price of $375 to over $600, you could more than make up the cost for that shiny new device you want so badly, by selling your old one.
