Facebook, Apple: And, their eyes met from across the room

January 17, 2012

Apple’s iTunes Ping, the company’s social network for music, was supposed to arrive with Facebook integration baked. Although it is still early days, another non-public beta, this still time iOS, shows that Facebook integration is making a comeback. Is this the real deal?

‘Cheap’ iPhones for Apple Store workers

February 22, 2011

When I was at a Verizon Wireless Store last week, several long faces told me employees weren’t yet allowed to purchase the iPhone 4 — more the merrier for customers. Their Apple Store counterparts, however, aren’t being denied and the details show there are savings to be had.

Woz delivers truth about white iPhone 4

Verizon iPhone announcement rumored for 1/11/11 at 11

January 8, 2011

Back when I lived in Taiwan, everything from lotto numbers to the date we moved house and the hour my wife delivered by C-section to the day we left to come here was determined by an astrologer or soothsayer of some kind — c’est la vie, qui est le bon mariage! October 7, 2010

Quite naturally, all of the spokesmen for the people who actually know have declined to comment. Yes, it’s another week and yet another spin of the Verizon iPhone story. Can you say, “Rumor fatigue”?

Early iAd pay rates high, perhaps unsustainable

July 11, 2010

Smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em, boys! Some of the earliest implementers of Apple’s in-app advertising platform, iAds, are reporting stellar results with at least one dev saying he earned more than fourteen-hundred on the first day. However, the good times may not last

June 30, 2010

Rumors about the iPhone on Verizon have gained a focus and that’s January of next year, though no one that could be cornered and questioned has stepped forward to confirm or disavow the story. Given all of the pain AT&T’s experienced, if there is to be a vPhone, Verizon’s going to test the bejesus out of it, so perhaps one of those mobile web metrics companies will provide us with the verification we all crave.
